Is there anyway to take the label off a chest?

I created a bunch of labeled chests thinking I could turn those into trunks, (i didn't double check the recipe) does anyone know if there is anyway I can take the sign off the chest to then turn it into a trunk? or anyway to turn two labeled chests into trunks

Ill look to see if I can find one! I haven't looked into mods much yet, thank you though for the suggestion
