Fimblebee Posted April 7, 2025 Report Posted April 7, 2025 (edited) Hello! As stated by the title, for some reason I have not been able to figure out, several mods in the list I usually play with have suddenly stopped working, but not all of them? I noticed it first with Carry On, but then it occurred to me that two mods that add in custom items (Nails and Strips Mold and Animal Cages) are also not working. I also tried adding in Hanging Oil Lamps after the fact, wondering if a newly added mod would still have problems, and sure enough, it isn't working. However, stuff like Zoom Button, Status HUD, ProspectTogether, Step Up, and Extra Info have been functioning perfectly fine. I want to say that the affected mods stopped working when I updated to 1.20 (or one of the subsequent versions, my memory isn't the best). I'm playing on the most recent version of the game, 1.20.7. I've tried redownloading the mods to versions that should work with the current VS version number, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game entirely, but neither of these things have worked. Does anyone know what could be causing this to happen? If more info is needed, I'll do the best I can to provide it. Thank you! Edited April 7, 2025 by Fimblebee
Brady_The Posted April 7, 2025 Report Posted April 7, 2025 client- and server-main.logs would be interesting.
Fimblebee Posted April 7, 2025 Author Report Posted April 7, 2025 So funny story, as I was going to grab those for you to take a look at, doing so caused me to notice as I was skimming the log that the game was trying to follow a path that didn't exist to load my mods lmao. I recently moved from laptop to PC and copied my save files over from a flashdrive so I wouldn't lose them, and I guess somewhere in the midst of that I ended up confusing the game into thinking I was still set on the user profile I had on my laptop (seems like some important information in hindsight)! Just changed that in the server config and now the mods are working perfectly fine, so thank you for putting me on the right path to solve my issue!

Mod paths are indeed hardset in clientsettings.json and have to be manually adjusted when the path changes.
