Whome Posted May 4, 2025 Report Posted May 4, 2025 So my torches have stopped emitting light, it is making caving quite difficult, throwing one into a pit has no glow. I tried relighting the chunk with debug, it did nothing. Any suggestions?
Whome Posted May 4, 2025 Author Report Posted May 4, 2025 So I closed and restarted game twice, the second time the glow reappeared.

Solution wildforester Posted May 4, 2025 Solution Report Posted May 4, 2025 Did you disable dynamic lights or pick a preset that did? Fog on the surface could also be the cause.
Whome Posted May 28, 2025 Author Report Posted May 28, 2025 Oh, apologies I forgot I had made this post. I came to the conclusion it is fog related.
Duke of Truth Posted September 18, 2025 Report Posted September 18, 2025 This same effect is killing me. Surface fog should not be causing cave torches to not emit light. This needs to be fixed asap....
Professor Dragon Posted September 18, 2025 Report Posted September 18, 2025 I suggest adding your comments to the Issue Tracker against this one: https://github.com/anegostudios/VintageStory-Issues/issues/4641 And I agree, same thing happens to me. Fog on the surface kills lighting in even "small" rooms underground.
