MacOS 1.20.9 Hud disappears looking at Elk or Boats

Playing on an M1 Pro macbook. When my cursor is on an elk or boat the hud disappears. I also was previously experiencing this same issue when looking at blocks and was able to find a quick fix (switching SelectedBlockOutline to false in the client settings file). Has anyone else experienced this, or have a fix?

It disappears when I look at anything that would cause the tooltip to show. Even grass. I just manually rolled back versions to 1.20.7, because even 1.20.8 doesn't work for me.

1.20.10 fixed it for me. Check if Rossetta is upto date and that you have py3cairo(latest version of cairo). I think cairo was my issue, but i updated evrything, homebrew and even my software. The terminal commands are on the install guide page. Just change py2cairo to py3cairo.

Just as a side note, Cairo has been packaged with VS for a while now, you don’t need to install it separately.
