Hello,

I noticed that you can stack and collect wood and coal either from lower or higher stacks without issue, but for panning we can only pan from the top-most section of the dirt or gravel.

It would be nice if you can allow panning from anywhere in the stack (for example if 2 blocks of sand or gravel, pan from bottom and the stack will lower like with coal and wood)

Is this possible or difficult due to gravel fall mechanism?

Thank you

Kinda doesn't matter as the block remains an entire block until all 8 layers are panned.  Since an air block above the block being panned is required using gravity to refill the space is not possible without a whole heap of work.

This strangeness is why I am in support of(wanting) turning the pan into a quasi pseudo kind of sort of crafting station with an input (reed)chest and an (optional) output.

The pan source is compressed in our pockets and in chests, but for actual panning it's gotta be all that hubbabaloo...ehh...

Should be like a quern instead, at the very least, but with our characters still doing the cozy panning animation, and still costing a lot of time and nutrition.

i think what Lingam is trying to say is that it would be nice to be able to click the bottom block to remove the top layer of the top block, the same way it works with coal and firewood.

Yeah, I thought that's what I said, but I guess you made it easier to understand, thanks for that

Some of it is that I can interpret multiple meanings from what is said.  My wife gets so incredibly frustrated when I ask her a plethora of questions to make sure I rule out all but one of my interpretations of what she said.
