This will likely enable people to share their login details with friends, enabling them to play for free, thus circumventing the need to purchase the game.

It's not a big deal switching between computers because I have the same password manager on them, however, entering the username and password is a severe PITA on the Steam Deck. Especially in 2025 when most people use 20+ character hard passwords rather than "muhCatsName!1$21"
