Good morning Ladies and Gents

I have a problem...... I'm new to PC gaming and vintage story, however not new to gaming or survival games but this one got me sideways.

i was all good but I realised it was nearly winter and I had no food so now I knew the game better thought I'd start again.

well that was 2 days ago and i have started the game again over 30 times as no animals are spawning in my world i've waited an in game week and still nothing.

any ideas???

all i can think of is either my pc aint up to it or its a bug not sure eiter way

No mods, get one or two but once I've ran away (for safety reasons lol) and returned later nothing is in the area.

Just hoping it's because my pc is just thrown together, waiting for new motherboard decent enough to house my newer cpu, still running my friend's old one from the 100bc

Weird, I don't think your hardware would impact that. Usually there are rabbits, foxes and raccoons everywhere.

I'm running Vintage Story on a 6th gen Pentium, and I still get animals, so I don't think it's your CPU.

Now, you COULD be suffering with the same problem I have; All Entities become invisible after loading chunks. When I first load the game, I can see all creatures, but if I step two chunks over everyone disappears.

I mentioned it in a different thread, but RAM was not an issue; I went from 12 to the max 64 my motherboard can take, and that didn't affect a single thing.

I know literally nothing about PCs this is my first one and I only got it to play vintage.

Not sure what my pc has at the minute, my friend did explain but means nothing to me.

I know I have an I7-6700 cpu waiting to go I to the new mother board I bought yesterday just waiting for that to up and can upgrade my setup.

That's exactly what happens I load in see animals, start exploring and gradually I stop seeing them at all so I start a new world and try again.

But even if I drop the size of the world it still eventually happens.

How can I fix this?

Maybe start turning down your graphics settings as a starting point.

You can drop the settings to Absolute Minimum and the entities will still disappear. This has been an issue I've been dealing with since 1.20 came out.

Entities vanish, item hover popups stop showing, and game sounds start to delay (but not the music)

I've been giving this a thought over, and I've decided I was wrong.

I've got a 6th gen Pentium, and you're about to get a 6th gen i7; same generation, opposite performance ends. Keep me updated on when your setup comes in, and if your more powerful CPU solves this issue.

I've been wanting to upgrade to an i7 7700, as that's the max my current board can take, but I haven't had the $75-$125USD to spend on it; rent and groceries have been more important :P

I found out the issue it was the size and resolution on my TV was to much for my pc to run which as a novice even that sounds strange to me haahaha

Will mods cause the same type of issue as I'm adding stuff to the game such as stone quarry and chisel mod
