Facethief Posted July 27, 2025 Report Posted July 27, 2025 Gravel is… interesting. It doesn’t have many uses, aside from panning, fancy cobblestone, and stuffing it in castle walls for realism’s sake. It’s not like it’s useless… it’s just not very useful past the point where panning isn’t necessary. But what else could we use it for? I like the idea of gravel paths, or being able to keep saplings as such without the need for a pot or planter. While a little bit weird, maybe there could be fine cobblestone, as gravel is nice as a texture, but not great for actual construction. 1
Thorfinn Posted July 27, 2025 Report Posted July 27, 2025 I like it for floors in my smithy. More for the feeling it gives than anything else. 2

If you have your world set to "Most chiseled Blocks", then Gravel is a great accent for chiseling with stone Same with sand, they mix well inside rock and ashlar for interior decorating. Sand, while not gravel, also makes a good floor or (when chiseled first) ceiling texture when mixed with a wood boarder. 1
