Calo-Mari Posted July 31, 2025 Report Posted July 31, 2025 Idea: Allow players to sculpt their own clay sculptures with clay forming, like an alternative to chiseling. How would it work? Just like regular clay forming you have to make it layer by layer. Would be separate from all the other recipes and not impact them. It also wouldn’t be actually functional pottery but serve as decoration. Why? To allow for some more ways to decorate and create custom blocks in the early game. 5
Katherine K Posted August 1, 2025 Report Posted August 1, 2025 I generally want casting, clay forming, and carving to get a bit more love in terms of creating custom things. There's no reason, for example, that you shouldn't be able to use custom clay-forming tools to make a custom mold, fry it, and then cast a statuette out of metal. And it really feels like it just needs a bit more UI to tell the game if the thing you'll make a clay form will be a block, placeable item (like bowls and jugs) or a form for casting, and then when you're working on these, a new option in the F menu to move between layers. 1
