Need help with World Gen please.

Hi everyone,
With the new patch giving us sailing boats, im trying to get a world gen that has plenty of oceans, some largish land masses and lots of islands.
The world generation im using to try and get this is:

World Height 256
Landcover 50%
Landcover Scale 200%
Upheaval 30%
Landform Scale 100%

Im getting the good sized land masses, a few island and larger bodies of water... BUT... theres literally zero lakes and small water inlets ???
This might not seem too bad a thing to deal with but I walked for half an hour and found NO cattails, which means no storage

Ive attached a SS of my starting land to show how good the ocean gen is, and decent land but zero lakes = zero cattails.

If anyone can help with world gen to tweak it so theres more lakes but not change the land / ocean % I would be so grateful.

Is it without worldgen mods? This landscape reminds me Plains and Valleys a lot...

Hi Vratislav, thanks for the reply.

Yes I did have Plains and Valleys mod on, I have removed it and made a new world using the same seed and settings.
Seems the mod did make the Plains a lot bigger, but even without it I seem to have a lack of lakes / cattails...

Ive attached the map as before, but still cant get my desired result. Will keep testing different percentages in settings.

OK, I think ive gotten what I was looking for

After many MANY tries with different settings etc (and removing Plains & Valleys mod) I have the world, map attached.

I used these setting to get it just as I wanted, lots of water to use the new boats, good land size AND lakes, small water patches...

World Height 256
Landcover 60%
Landcover Scale 150%
Upheaval 30%
Landform Scale 60%

Last post for anyone interested in a setup for "waves & caves" fun, heres a view of 2 mins from spawn, just what I was looking for, islands, lakes and good land mass.
