HeavyDevy Posted October 7, 2025 Report Posted October 7, 2025 So I play VS on my steam deck, and the new update 1.21.4 just dropped. The flatpak version on the discover software however still is showing 1.21.1 Is there any way to change this, or do I have to wait until it changes. Or will I have to do the other option of adding VS manually? 1
Solution Diff Posted October 7, 2025 Solution Report Posted October 7, 2025 After doing way too much to work around this myself, I discovered this: https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Installing_the_game_on_Linux#Easy_installation_options
HeavyDevy Posted October 7, 2025 Author Report Posted October 7, 2025 So I'm not a programmer at all, I have never even touched the terminal on my steam deck. I tried following the video to a T, but none of the commands ever worked. I also tried looking at the actual post, but it was too confusing to me. I didn't understand a single bit of what they were trying to explain. 1
Steve Jobs Posted October 12, 2025 Report Posted October 12, 2025 Have you figured out a way to update it to 1.21.4? Let me rephrase that. Have you figured out an easier way?

For future generations, this will only get you 1.21.4, not any later version.
