Does sitting reduce hunger rate?

Some people say it does. It's not shown in the 'C' menu, though. But it makes so much sense! Does sitting reduce food consumption, or have I been wasting my time by sitting around while waiting?

Thanks for the reply. 'Weirdly enough, the single most low-consumption activity you can do is just stand still.' Well, that's a bummer, it breaks the immersion, but it's good to know.
