omegafatality Posted November 2, 2025 Report Posted November 2, 2025 Hello VS Friends! I was wondering if anyone has successfully generated a world that's more island hopping, with islands being smaller and able to hold 2 or some traders. I want to be able to set up ports at these islands and do a very sailing oriented playthrough. I use Terra Prety currently for world gen but am of course not opposed to vanilla world gen, whatever would work best! Thank everyone in advance for helping :) 1
hstone32 Posted November 4, 2025 Report Posted November 4, 2025 (edited) Well, I know the landcover scale world option basically just raises the sea level, so that only the highest elevation areas are above water. Don't know how modded genegation might coplicate that though. Try setting the scale to low, generating a world, and post a screenshot. Edited November 4, 2025 by hstone32 said high instead of low 1
Professor Dragon Posted November 4, 2025 Report Posted November 4, 2025 Check out the examples here, if you haven't already done so: https://wiki.vintagestory.at/World_Configuration#World_generation 1

Well the link that @Professor Dragon posted is probably your best reference. It gives a list of different configurations. It seems that setting... landcover = 10 Landcover scale = 100 upheaval rate = 30 Landform scale = 100 ... gives a world populated by sparce islands. 1
