zimt Posted December 15, 2025 Report Posted December 15, 2025 (edited) As there are a vast amount of crafting recipes with many different items and tools, it's hard to remember all crafting recipes from memory. The current workflow is to open the survival handbook and look up the crafting recipe, before placing all items and tools properly inside the crafting grid (to match the shown recipe inside the handbook). I wonder if there are ways to further optimze that workflow and maybe allow for faster crafting and better user experience. If a player has all required items for a crafting recipe inside the inventory the survival handbook which shows the recipe may offer a button to directly place all items in their proper slots inside the player's crafting grid AND/OR the craftable item may be shown in an extra window (e.g. on the right side of the inventory). If the player clicks the craftable item, the items needed for crafting are placed inside the crafting grid (Note: The window may show multiple craftable items, if the items inside the player's inventory allow crafting of multiple items) What do you think? Are you happy if the UI would be more aware of the action the user may need/want to perform in the future or do you think "less help is better / keeps things clean"? Note: I hope this has not been suggested before. I couldn't find any topic in the brief search I made. Edited December 15, 2025 by zimt 3

I prefer the more "hands on" approach of putting things in the grid myself, however, clicking a button on the recipe page to put the ingredients into the grid would be a great accessibility feature. 3
