FencersGhosts Posted December 25, 2025 Report Posted December 25, 2025 Can someone please explain to me like I'm a complete and total idiot how to make a fairly simple patch mod that just adds a couple recipes? Or like, point me to a guide or tutorial somewhere? (IE: I have one mod that adds more types of fabric, and another mod that adds more types of mordant. They were not made to be compatible, so only vanilla mordants work on the modded fabric. I want to make it so that I can use the modded mordant on the modded fabric.) All of the explanations or tools I can find are either outdated or don't work on mac. I can't even find the assets folder. I have checked the wiki modding guides and I feel like nothing makes sense and I'm just going in circles.

According to the wiki the assets folder should be located at /users/{your username}/Library/Application Support/VintagestoryData. Resources: - https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Modding:Content_Tutorial_Simple_Recipe, - https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Modding:Content_Tutorial_Complex_Grid_Recipes - https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Modding:Content_Tutorial_Further_Recipes - https://wiki.vintagestory.at/index.php?title=Modding:Modinfo (Add the two mods as dependencies to avoid any errors.) - https://wiki.vintagestory.at/index.php?title=Modding:Mod_Packaging Depending on what you want to achieve this process is really quite simple. It would help to know what mods you are talking about, to be able to write an example that is less abstract. Edited December 25, 2025 by Brady_The
