Pergo Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 Hello there everyone. I have a question in relations to a corrupted savegame of mine. Me and a few friends have been playing Vintage story for about 2 years, only for our savegame to get corrupted. We have tried both repair mode and the SQL fix, neither worked. The file is about 2.8 gb so it clearly stored some data. Would anyone happen to know any other potential fixes? (Can't share it due to size, so I'm not sure where/how to.) Long story short. We had hosted our game via pingperfect, they told us to download the savegame files from their server once done as a backup. Skip about 1 year of taking a break and we try to reopen the server... ("Files corrupted...") We tried to first run it in repair mode, restart and even reseed the map, nothing worked. Then a friend did the SQL thing on the wiki. Diden't work either. TL;DR We got a corrupted savegame and none of the current fixes work. What do?

TL;DR We got a corrupted savegame and none of the current fixes work. What do? Are you trying to open it on a new server or as a single player file? I once download my sever savegame and tried to run it as a single player world and it said the file was corrupted. The same savegame file still works on a server.
Pergo Posted January 3 Author Report Posted January 3 We are trying to run it as a singleplayer right now, but we tried to send both the normal and repaired file to our provider and was told it's still corrupted.

Weird. Did you send them back the original file or the one after you tried to open and repair it?
