Turskirath Posted January 5 Report Posted January 5 I was just building on my house (finally moving out of a rammed earth shack) when I went to get more wood at my warehouse... just to See this on my way. Quite the picture, with the presumed culprit behind. Of course, I ran there in panic, but I was too late... Aftermath in the morning. Here is everything I could save, mostly piled up outside as the chests burned as well. Mostly non-flammable stuff - stacks of wood, leather and cattails lost. Luckily, my metal, scriptures and seeds were stored elsewhere - especially the latter is, of course, very important. In terms of food, however... all my 4th generation pigs lived next to the warehouse. A giant loss for sure, all of them burned. At least I could save enough chickens, which could quickly repopulate. Well, outside of that, the warehouse is just a stone husk now... though the damn wooden roof survived most of it. Of course it had to hit the floor and containers. 1 2
Forks Posted January 5 Report Posted January 5 I have so much respect for people who play with fire spread on. God speed, may your homestead recover swiftly.
LadyWYT Posted January 5 Report Posted January 5 Methinks you might want to invest in a lightning rod.
BlackMoonHowling Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 I lost one of my first cabins to a lightning strike, I hope you’re able to recover from the loss of the pigs fast
