Maespri Posted January 19 Report Posted January 19 (edited) Is there a way to keep/put the border back onto glass when chiseled (without mods)? Restoring a rather large ruin and really like the way the bordered glass looks with the stone, but some of the pieces need to be chiseled away and have glass added in order to get it to look like the original ruin. Shame slabs seem to be like minecrafts where you can't combine two different blocks, not that it would help anyway since aged ashlar blocks don't have a slab/stair varient.. Edit: Forgot some wording. Edited January 19 by Maespri 1

The best you can really do is pick a dark block, like basalt or slate, and chisel that in as a border. It's not the same, but it will have a similar look. 12 hours ago, Maespri said: Shame slabs seem to be like minecrafts where you can't combine two different blocks, not that it would help anyway since aged ashlar blocks don't have a slab/stair varient.. You can't combine slabs, but you can combine material type via chiseling and have two different "slabs" stacked that way instead.

Yeah, I had tested in creative to see if I could get like a slab of glass and a slab of the cobblestone that would be close enough and get them to stick. Bit unfortunate it didn't work, but I was kind of expecting it not to lol. Seems like it'd be difficult on the engine.
