René de Vintageman Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 Cute windmill on a post Post mill aka Standerdmolen the oldest type of Dutch windmills. The whole mill can be turned towards the wind, standing on a post. Its defining feature is that the whole body of the mill that houses the machinery is mounted on a single central vertical post. The vertical post is supported by four quarter bars. For simple milling it seems more economical and convenient to just build a row of small windmills. I decided that I'm done with über mills on high mountains. Now with 1.22 having two mill types, I want a mill close by, no walking for hours. No speed needed, just VS patience. json download below of importing! Key 1.22 Windmill & Mechanical Updates: Large Windmill: A new, larger variant is added for higher power output. Turbulence Penalty: Placing windmills too close (within 1.5x sail diameter) creates turbulence, significantly reducing efficiency. Space them out by at least 15 blocks for maximum performance. Fire Risk: Mechanical components will smoke and eventually ignite if they rotate too fast, a system designed to prevent overpowered, "eldritch" setups.  standerdmolen-01.json 12 1 2 2

Kreg Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 This is such a neat design. I'm definitely building one in my multiplayer world as well. 1
Tannin Posted March 26 Report Posted March 26 Oh that's so nice! I've built the same type of windmill for my little farm. In German it's called Bockwindmühle. But mine doesn't look nearly as nice, I'm not a great builder. Maybe I will try to make it look a little bit better someday. 1
