Help with animal and crop growth times.

My friends and I wanted to have longer seasons on our server so we changed the 9 day months to 18 days. We didn't realize at the time that animal and crop growth are tied to the number of days in a month, is there any way to keep growth times as default while having the longer months?

It seems there is no option specifically for crops, or atleast I don't know of one, so your only bet is using mods.
