Raist Posted June 20 Report Posted June 20 So, working on a modded server and the first temporal storm hit. A brand new player loading in with a fresh client (didn't even have a backpack yet lol) had the same visual oddity as myself, which you can see from the photo (ignore blood and death please). The color scheme and visuals of the temporal storm only occurred within that oval, while everything outside of it looked normal. It's only month 2, so not like any of us are running around with nightvision equipment. Playing on 1.22.3, with the following mod list. Digging around each of the mod pages hasn't turned up the culprit. Animations Lib Ape Grapes Armory Fork Auto Map Markers Better Handbook Better Ruins Blood Trail Carry On Chat Link Chat UI Combat Overhaul Fork Common Lib Forked Config Lib Envelopes Extra Info Footprints Grassroots Have A Smoke I Want Smooth Temperature Json Patches Lib Just the Palisades KS Cartography Table No Bone Arrows Offline Food No Spoil OPine Upon Pine Overhaul Lib Legacy Compat Player Corpse Fork Portcullis Primitive Survival Realistic Water Real Smoke Restart Timer Safe House Simple Palisades Simple Tankards Vintage Shader VS Imgui VS Vanilla Plus Walking Stick Watersheds Wilderlands Cave Systems All Caves Are Connected CaveContent Fork Rivers Shelf Obsessed Terra Prety RP Voice Chat A Culinary Artillery Expanded Foods: Core and Meals Cooperative Combat Rework Reuploaded Anyone see this before?
Solution LadyWYT Posted June 20 Solution Report Posted June 20 Welcome to the forums! 3 hours ago, Raist said: Vintage Shader My best guess, at a glance, is that it's the shader mod having some goofy interference with another mod, or perhaps not playing nicely with the player's hardware or settings. You could try removing that mod and see if that clears up the issue. 3 hours ago, Raist said: A brand new player loading in with a fresh client (didn't even have a backpack yet lol) had the same visual oddity as myself, which you can see from the photo (ignore blood and death please). If it's a fresh client then there shouldn't have been any older mods in the folder that could interfere. That being said, do check the modlist to make sure everything is updated correctly for 1.22, just in case there's an outdated mod in the list. Otherwise, the only way to figure out which mod is causing the issue is to disable them all, make sure vanilla works correctly, and then re-enable them one by one and test as you do so until you encounter the problem again.
Raist Posted June 20 Author Report Posted June 20 Thanks! Been lurking for awhile now. I was *really* hoping I might be able to avoid disabling systematically, just due to the work involved. All of the mods were at 1.22.x, at least, though not all had been reissued for 1.22.3. So I knew I was gambling at least a little. I'll start with the shader though. I thought I had seen some comments from at least mod that I was evaluating, complaining about how it added an unrelated nightvision feature, but when I went looking I couldn't find it again. Just found someone else complaining about temporal stability not being referenced correctly on the Vintage Shaders mod. Thanks!
