LeviGD Posted August 8 Report Posted August 8 My friend is trying to buy vintage story but anytime we got to the payment part of buying it, it would give him an error, when I tried gifting him a copy the same thing happened. Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue? After buying him the game I was also planning on buying a server from here so if that all isn't working I don't see how we can play together.

Paypal is listed as an accepted form of payment, so it should work. However, it's also possible that there could have been technical issues going on at the time you tried to purchase, or some other issues. Hard to say for certain, but the support team should be able to shed more light on what's going on.

Thanks, I'll try that out, I'd rather buy the server from here and support the dev directly instead of buying server hosting elsewhere.

If you're trying to buy a game server specifically, make sure that you're in the correct region. Servers purchased from Anego, to my knowledge, are currently limited to the European region. They're also vanilla only, so if you are wanting to use mods you'll want to look at third party hosting services. I'm not sure that the region limitation will prevent players outside of Europe from purchasing a server through Anego Studios, however, it will probably impact gameplay performance due to the distance, so it's something to keep in mind.
doom1666 Posted August 11 Report Posted August 11 I also tried to purchase a game account using PayPal, but the screen displayed "Something went wrong" and the purchase failed, so I had no choice but to use a credit card instead. I just wanted to let you know that there is at least one other man who was unable to make the purchase via PayPal.
Squeeps Posted August 13 Report Posted August 13 (edited) Same problem here, want to buy the game for a friend (who is economically disadvantaged (Vitenamese Dong are experiencing Hyperinflation)) but cant do so, as i get the "Something is Wrong" error message upon wanting to pay. When it should open a window for paypal or something.
