AngryRob Posted November 6, 2020 Report Posted November 6, 2020 I am enjoying the repair mechanic for the transloactors. I would like to see more devices that could either be built by us, or can be salvaged from ruins, that would require temporal gears. Maybe even devices that would be powered by temporal gears and when they exhaust them, spit out rusty gears? Some ideas include a grow lamp that grows crops and ages animals instantaneously, a bread box that keeps food from ageing, and a storm shelter that prevents drifter spawns around it during a temporal storm. 1
Aidan McPherson Posted November 7, 2020 Report Posted November 7, 2020 More technology sounds like a good long term plan, but some of the suggested uses seem a bit too overpowered for the vanilla game. Salvageable rotary powered "ice boxes" could be fun when coupled with a cellar to further reduce food spoilage but not stop it entirely. Or small hydroponic planters that, once fully repaired and rotary powered, would grow a single planted crop at maximum efficiency year round. (perhaps has an internal water tank that needs filling so it still requires interaction) Or even still, a repairable powered oven, using large amounts of rotary power to fuel cooking instead of wood or coal.
