Chute + smoke

possibility to let smoke escape through a chute?

I don't know about the actual chute item, but I make chutes out of chiseled blocks all the time. The smoke usually moves through the space without issue, though sometimes it seems to get stuck on the edge of two chiseled blocks where there isn't actually any material to block it. It's pretty rare for me, though.

EDIT: Oh wait, this is a suggestion and not a question. Oops.
