HG35 Posted March 27, 2021 Report Posted March 27, 2021 I am trying to get my old world on my new pc I got. I have the same profile and everything. However, I cant seem to get the world to download. I tried backing up the file, making it into a zipped file, and a whole lot of other things. Any ideas how I can get this world into my new pc?
Streetwind Posted March 27, 2021 Report Posted March 27, 2021 (Assuming you're using all the default installation paths and such...) Simply zip up the entire contents of %appdata%\vintagestorydata, and extract them into the same location on your new machine. That is where the game looks for savegames, config files, map caches, and so on. Don't worry about which contents you need, don't tinker with the folder structure - just grab the entire contents and move them over. 5

I'm in a similar situation with a new PC, I zipped both the Vintagestory folder and the Vintagestory Data folder from %appdata% and brought them over to my new PC. I can see my save has transferred fine but when I open Mod Manager none of my mods are there, but when I open the mods folder all the zipped mods are in there?
