should I build a new base? (its an stable area, but...)

Should I build a new base? I have in my base in a small panic-room 6x5 blocks only, I have got during a heavy temporal storm maybe 5-6 corrupt drifters, and maybe 1-2 deep drifters in my small room - a pure nightmare, I died maybe 15 times - Its an stable area, but the next unstable area is only 100 blocks away, too close?

Just build a single block, three high tower of blocks under you in a flat area - hay or cob will do well. No more storm issues AT ALL. Once the storm is over, jump down, run away and let them despawn.
