AdrianNumbers
Storage blocks : chests , baskets , barrels , storage vessels , crucibles , casts and pots can now act as non-bag items . They retain their inventory while beeing caried. Chests, barrels and storage vessels slow player down if there is anything inside. Windego
This sounds a whole lot like how the mod CarryCapacity currently works.. With added items on top of it all. But if we're not allowed to carry chests and barrels in our inventory, even if empty, then that may be a bit inconvenient for a lot of players. As it adds more complexity to the game and difficulty for storage management. Edited October 30, 2021 by Windego

They can act as non-bag item but its not the only option they can still be broken normaly. I mean they act as one not that they are , for storage blocks it would be more like a temporary state if player picks them up in certain way . Windego
Then it's essentially exactly like CarryCapacity. Though if we go by that concept, I would agree that being able to move molds around while they still have liquid content in them sounds convenient as an option. I'd personally like to see that idea be implemented to animal corpses.
AdrianNumbers
Now that you pointed out it looks very much the same as that mod with a small spin of my own , still this one is only a small sugestion that i thought of on the spot to show an aplication of whole non-bag items idea (making it more systematic).
