Lava light is permanent

Pretty sure lava is still WIP but thought I'd address this, I put some lava in a temp hole, moved it later and the light from the lava never went away

how did you get rid of it? I know that if lava is turned into obsidian the light is gone too. But as lava is rare and can't be moved in survival i do not destroy it in other ways.

I picked it up with a metal bucket from the Primitive Survival mod
