Does the Official Vintage Story Server Host let you play 1.16?

As the Title. Me and my friends are really keen to play it together!

if you install 1.16 rc6 the corresponding server will also start up as 1.16 on that computer.

Yes. Vintagehosting lets you select any stable or release candidate.

If I can ask, how (and would it be possible) to install 1.16.0 rc6 on a g portal server? I see you're running one with mods enabled as well.

@JarielEledan I'm not familiar with g portal servers but I would imagine the process is the same as running on your own hardware. I've used some services in the past that give you less control over the hardware forcing you into using whatever their interface allows. If this is the case then I'm not sure.

@JarielEledanThis is a bit belated so hopefully you already found the info, but G-portal gives full FTP access to your server.  You can drop in files manually, including specific server versions and whatever mods or tweaks you see fit.  FTP connect info is directly on your game/cloud dashboard, their wiki has a basic how to use it article somewhere, though it requires snagging an FTP program on your own as they don't have a web interface.
