Drifter spawn question

Hey folks,

The wiki says the spawn on solid tiles with light level less than 8.  Will drifters spawn on sloped roof tiles?  Do I need to light roofs to have a spawn proof area during the night?  I know temporal storms are a different matter.

The top surface shouldn't be solid full block on those, hence no lighting up should be necessary.

But if you want to make sure and not light up the area, put chiselled blocks on top you can go as small as 1/8x1/8x1/8 block to make sure inside that block there will be no spawns, same can be used inside too.

Many thanks!  I've had a few drifters jump down from buildings but they must have just found a way to get on to the roof.
