Did I mess up the timer on my skeps for the winter?
Never Jhonsen replied to MeggyMegs's topic in Questions
Transporting bees will also drop their population, and they only "swarm" when at a high population -
i found some giant underwater (water filled) caves.
Never Jhonsen replied to Thomas Bove's topic in Discussion
Bearer of bad news. As of either 1.14 of 1.15, all partial blocks (including chiseled ones) are water loggable, and thus will not give you air. Not that it mattered too much back then, as everyone could breath underwater. We lost our water breathing in (I think) 1.17 -
I have a desert full of oak and pine. No particular reason to that wood type, it's just what I had spare when I started the farm, and thus what the farm got expanded on

Having an alternating opacity background would make it easier to read However, I think a two-toned background per message is the way to go, as the scaling of per-speaker would get out of hand quickly on multiplayer servers. 75 differently colored but still readable backgrounds would get hectic real fast

I would counter-argue on that; Standard advice is a hammer and two picks I value a hammer over any tool, as losing all your hammers will reset you back to panning for copper in the stone age, unless you're lucky enough to have 100 units of a pourable metal to cast a new one

There's quite a few crystal types you can find in quartz, as well as some other materials Going off the top of my head, I wanna say it's Amythest, Quartz, Smokey Quartz, Rose Quartz, and Olivine as all the crystals you can find
-
I love it, been playing with it for years Same with cave-ins, turned that on when it became a thing

I have a few crumbs Quartz doesn't show up at all because the devs coded it as such. It's such a plentiful mineral that spawns in huge quantities in all(?) materials, so dig down a few times and you'll eventually find some. Anytime I need quartz, and I don't have a close marking on the map, I will just dig straight down. If I don't find it on the first hole, moving 32 blocks in any direction for one or two more times will eventually get me some

The prospecting pickaxe with a radius of 6 is trash I've ran it with a radius of 12 since 1.14 and I've always had luck in finding stuff on readings less than decent Try increasing your radius

How to start a server with more days per month(bisect hosting)
Never Jhonsen replied to VeeFullOfGlee's topic in Questions
Something's not correct here Going from 9 to 15 days per month, thus making each month longer, won't fast forward time; it'll reverse it. If you're on, for example, June 8th Year 0 at 9dpm (days per month), and you change it to 15dpm, the new date will be April 2nd Year 0 Now, if you went from, say, 9dpm to 3dpm, THAT will fast forward time. September 4th Year 0 at 9dpm will become Feburary 1st Year 2 at 3dpm What command did you use to change your 9dpm to 15dpm to send you forward into Winter? -
There's a YouTuber who's done the same. Named him "Dog" even

I've only ever found it once (as mentioned here), and that was from three blocks sticking out of a cliffside And if it wasn't for that find I'd say the stuff was naught but a myth

First White Marble find
Never Jhonsen replied to Never Jhonsen's topic in Videos, Art or Screenshots
Fun fact about this marble; I actually found it a couple Real World years ago; back in 1.18. Saw three blocks sticking out in a cliff side whilst hunting for Limestone, marked it on the map to return back later, and. .. well I never did. Until now! And I'm only here because I wanted to see what would happen when I generated 1.21 land next to 1.18 terrain. Here is my map in 1.21, showing all the currently generated terrain. Nothing new has been loaded in yet And here is me standing in one spot with Max View Distance on (ignore my poor PC SCREAMING in the background), after running around for a bit to load the borders. 1.18 on the left, and 1.21 on the right. You can see the differing areas, but not in the way you'd expect. When on the ground, you wouldn't even notice the crossover. You WOULD notice the very noisy land flatten out however; I forgot how treacherous the old lands could be. I went into creative mode to get an aerial view, as I really did expect to see some chunk borders. I've never had chunk border issues between 1.18/1.19 and 1.19/1.20 areas, but I figured that 1.18 and 1.21 would show some issues. I guess, moral of the story; chunks between different game versions like each other P.S. after reviewing my stuff, this might actually be 1.19, as 1.18 only had one map type. However, the world was originally created in 1.18.0, and it's been way too long since I've been here to truly remember, so I'm sticking with what I wrote. -
I've finally found some marble in my world Now, uh. Maybe next time I'd like it to spawn in a better place.

There was a YouTuber who I watched back in 1.17, and when it came time to make mortar, he made 10 firepits, got a stack of lime up to temperature, and once the stack was right about to reach temp he'd pull the whole stack out (which kept it's temps), and put one singular piece into each of those 10 firepits. Anyways, soon after the mod you linked came out, and he (as well as I) downloaded it and haven't looked back since
-
I have never heard this track before, it's not in the Bandcamp album Edit: it has been added to the album recently, along with a few others I don't have downloaded

When I said this, I was thinking something akin to, say, riding a bike in Pokémon A lot of the in-game music is triggered while you're doing tasks, but it's usually reliant on how often you have in-game music frequency set to do things
-
I did not know this what track is it?
-
I don't know if you can add music based on specific tasks, but I do know you can add in custom tuning cylinders. Mod example: Temporal Storm Music Which raises the question of; can we make the resonator a boat-equitable item?
-
Well that answers a question I've been wondering for some time

Map locations and Schematics storable on Scroll Racks
Never Jhonsen replied to Never Jhonsen's topic in Suggestions
An attempt has been started, and I know where to go from here. I DON'T know how to make custom models, so I'll have to use the current two scroll models (Lore for schematics, paper for others), but asides from that, I've made them all storeable on a scroll rack Files modified: assets/survival/itemtypes/lore/letter.json, assets/survival/itemtypes/utility/locatormap.json, assets/survival/itemtypes/utility/schematic Code added: attributes: { scrollrackable: true, onscrollrackTransform: { translation: { x: -0.5, y: -0.18, z: 0.48 }, rotation: { x: -45, y: 0, z: 0 }, origin: { x: 0.5, y: 0.1, z: 0.5 } }, } Maybe in another 9 months I'll have another free day to get the paper rolled up, but this here is good enough for me -
Shoom did NOT say that, nor does the game work that way. Clicking a door whilst holding a dirt block operates the door only, with no block placing. It should be consistent, which is why it is. Looking at a door when using right-click will only open the door, no matter what you're holding. Everything I said here still stands

/wgen regen 6 <- type this command into your chatbox /wgen deals with World GENeration, regen deals with reloading the chunks, and 6 is the amount of chunks in a radius to regenerate. 6 should be enough to reload his mountain, but you're welcome to choose a higher number

By "coal squib", are you talking about a "charcoal pit (Vintage Story Wiki)" or an "ore blasting bomb (Vintage Story Wiki)"? I hadn't seen the word Squib before, and googling it came up with coal mining bombs Charcoal pit is a tough one for beginners to figure out, but becomes a "well duh" moment once you do. Let me do a quick walk-through of a 2x2 charcoal pit in some detail, see if this helps you out. - Firstly, find some level and flat ground to build this on - 2 by 2 pit, assuming 1 deep, would consist of 4 stacks of firewood, 32 logs each. If you have less than 32 logs in one stack, your charcoal pit will fail. - Dig out 4 blocks into the ground, and place all 128 logs. - When you place them down, make sure that all 4 sides are covered with a solid block. This should use up 8 blocks; 2 on the North-facing side of your stack, 2 South, 2 West, and 2 East. Dirt and cobble work best to use. - After that, build those 4 walls up again, with another 8 blocks. There should be a 2x2 hole in the middle, with all 4 of your log piles shown. - Cover three of those log piles with your solid block of choice, and place a firepit onto the last exposed log pile. - Place two more blocks down to cover up the remaining sides of the pit. The pit should have a block touching all 4 sides of it, and a stack of firewood under it. - Light the pit, and put one more block on top of it. You have 30 seconds to place that last block, otherwise your charcoal pit will fail. As soon as you place that last block, smoke should start to rise above your pile. When it does, give it about an ingame day to finish smoking, and then dig out.
