Well the handbook correctly shows that we need boards in an orientation that it's impossible to have in the backpack without mods or maybe console commands. We still can't craft crates!

Thanks... turns out the part I hadn't worked out was selecting the trap in the bag slot with ctrl-mousewheel

I have a full trap, and I'm carrying it about but no combination of interface keys seems to do anything other than throw the full trap back on the ground. Anyone have a clue how to release an animal from a trap?
