  1. Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it
  2. plural wgen structures spawn 106 <<< Note the 's' Also I **think** you must have clicked a block at least once, usually, I think it needs a target block (not every time though... it's weird)
  3. I have sharks... horrible terrible RUST SHARKS, they are psychotic killers and they can smell anything that enters the water for a great distance. They kill any animal or seraph that enters their domain. They attack boats as well. They spawn in groups of 2-5 and they are very fast in the water, they want to kill you so bad they will launch out of the water and beach themselves for a chance to eat you or a poor passing by bear... I have a smaller freshwater version as well so jumping around in ponds or picking cattails can be a death sentence. They also have a terrible mechanical scream when they attack you, because they weren't bad enough, I thought they should haunt your dreams too Now the deal is I can't distribute this mod because I am borrowing another persons model for personal use. If anyone wants it I could post my mod minus the other persons models and you could copy the model yourself and zip the mod??? I could post exact instructions. OR... If you are capable with the modelling tool and want to donate a shark model I would post the mod and totally put your name all over the project Let me know
  4. @pigfoodIf I understand @Thorfinn properly the actual ore generation will be unique in all newly generated chunks to that world so if the streamer copied the world I assume that means that the copies would generate ores differently when new chunks were generated. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'd like to know as well
  5. It sounds like you potentially missed adding flatpak to your ui. This install is needed to make flatpak apps show up in your menu. Reboot after as Diff stated and you should be good! sudo apt install gnome-software-plugin-flatpak
  6. There is an option to install the flatpack available on flathub it's so easy, there's no need to go in and do all the old extract and chmod +x and ./Vintagestory or whatever the file is... The flatpack installs the launcher icon right into your apps menu and just does everything, so it's easier than windows even
  7. <rant>... I see so many posts, I can't find X, why is this game so hard I just want some X and there's none outside my house! I need X to make something and I can't find any!!! OK - Stop for a moment and ask yourself this, if you walked out your front door, would all of those things be available from your house? or even within a reasonable distance? I am very familiar with my city and I would have to travel 5 kilometers from my house to find a single cattail... If I want a banana I could look around for a hundred kilometers in every direction and not find one, does that mean that the world is broken? Should I send the Government a letter protesting the lack of banana plantations in British Columbia??? LMAO, of course not, this is a WORLD and not everything is available everywhere, not everything can even EXIST everywhere. We accept that because that is simply the way the world works. Your game is a world, sometimes if you want something and it's not locally available you need to accept that and be willing to travel to get what you need or, just like real life, do without it. </rant>
  8. If you are planning to mod this it should be fairly straightforward I imagine, simply making multiple textures with different shades of pink from default texture at domestication 0 to a full pink piggy texture at domestication 10? then just assign based on domestication level. If you want to go totally crazy and manipulate the shape too you could totally do that, personally If I were to tackle that job I might only change shapes a couple of times maybe like at domestication 3 and 6 and then 10 it's the final Wilbur. Anyways, just a suggestion, I might not have taken all factors into account, just spit-balling
  9. Just throwing in a little 'food for thought' In medieval times laborers especially those involved in logging and mining would consume upwards of 5000 calories per day to perform their work. The equivalent may be close to 10 average restaurant steaks per day. Modern people eat significantly less at around 2000 for simplicity sake so, the problem is not the game, the game is accurate, the problem is our perception through modern eyes. I imagine if such a situation could occur that a medieval logger could play Vintage Story they would see it as a very normal amount of consumption and have no issue
  10. Critcher's Basket I had some requests for this... it's a hacked one slot basket and it auto repairs any item or clothing you put in it. It's silly but if anyone is interested it's up and available
  11. look for bits on the ground, look for tin bits OR check when you see big fields of quartz bits, there may be silver and gold mixed in there! OR look around for a few bits of zinc and bismuth, any of these in very small amounts (2 for tin) will be enough to make 100 units of one of the bronzes to get your next tier pick. You can keep your copper anvil and hammer a bit longer until you get a bunch more. But remember if you see a few needed nuggets on the ground, dig right in that spot as there will be a deposit of that ore below it. *** SHAMELESS PLUG --- FEEL FREE TO IGNORE *** Critcher's Calculator << This will show you how many nuggets of each type you need to make ingots, slide it around to adjust for the nuggets you have. Critcher's Cheats << This contains nugget hunter which gives all the nuggets on the ground a color coordinated particle effect making them MUCH easier to spot.
  12. Hi everyone! I got several requests to separate the ingot calculator from the rest of my mod collection so here it is, Critcher's Calculator. I hope this makes your playtime a little more enjoyable https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/38115
  13. This happens in real life commonly with differences in air pressure and temperature in the upper atmosphere.
  14. Personally I would like to see the Spiderman effect gone from torches... how are they sticking to that cave wall??? I suggest combining one pitch with a torch and making sticky torches, and to follow that, torches go out when stored, only a torch in hand or placed can be lit.
  15. Also note that there is a you can only process so many units per barrel, if you try to add too many it will not work. If in doubt add 1 unit at a time until the barrel is full.
  16. In game, I woke up and battled a wolf who was prowling around my dirt box, I cooked and ate the WHOLE WOLF and I was hungry a couple of hours later. So I thought to myself NO WAY! So I tried it in real life, and I could barely eat the whole wolf but, I was still full several hours later....
  17. Reply, no not at all, it was another user who I don't want to name out of respect for their privacy and they didn't attack me, I was the one in the wrong. I think I touched on a subject that is deeply personal to people and I think like religion and politics AI might be an issue with heated polar opposites. I have a vastly different worldview on AI and it is not shared by the masses so I have learned from this experience that it is a topic best avoided. I am totally having fun with my other mods Critcher's Map Notes and the all in one Critcher's Compendium and I have had some good feedback from the community so far. I removed the whole thread and I just want to keep moving forward, being mindful of what I learned and continue participating in the community, and hopefully making some friends along the way
  18. Earlier I made a post discussing adding AI features to Vintage Story. I said things in a way that people took great offense to and I apologize. I have been having a lot of fun participating in the community and playing with mods. I have met some really cool people and I truly want to continue doing that! I promise to never again bring up that topic and please forgive my poor word choices and allow me to continue to participate in the community as a friend. And even though the user wont see this as I have rightfully been ignored, I am sorry for the manipulative tone of my post but I assure you that was not my intent, reading it again I see your point but for that too I apologize. Thank you for reading this.
  19. Heh, I did the same thing for the Ingot calculator, I just ripped stuff from the site I will keep poking at it, it would be a handy resource for any number of mods to have a nice fat complete icon set for the whole game
  20. I might do that actually, .blockitempngexport [inv/all] [size] [exportDomain] is the in game method, but it causes an immediate crash to desktop when I try to run it so I wrote my own python code to do the same function but all I get is like 3800 texture looking files... I think that maybe icons are generated from the model in real time or something like that??? I was working on replacing the handles on spears with a vibrant texture to make it easier to find them and when I did change the texture for the handle, handle.png the in game icons of the spears changed to have a red striped handle, so I think I pulled all the textures from the game but I think the official tool must actually build items and create icons??????? I don't really know, you have any idea?
  21. Elfini13 : Twoja wyspa brzmi super! Czy mogłabyś podać seed (ziarno) mapy? Chciałbym też na niej zagrać.
  22. I end up making 50 new worlds a day for testing, I found this seed that is in my opinion a perfect island survival seed 1923531161 I changed nothing so a default world on default mode will generate this cool island, all kinds of animals spawn, I've seen bear, deer, pigs, wolves and chickens in a quick fly around, there's fresh water ponds with cattails and when you spawn all you see on your map is this island, there are others around of course but, this is a pretty cool seed!
  23. Added a glow to fired projectiles, not very noticeable during brightest hours but any other time helps find your arrows and spears.
  24. https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/37064 It let's you keep notes on all your map markers, just press N while hovering on map marker, that's it.
  25. I peeked around and I bet it wouldn't be too hard to modify ShouldReceiveDamage() on traders and it's simple to disable trader protection... there 'could' be a horde of drifters that spawns at all the now vulnerable trader locations, and then you just have to visit later and pick through wreckage LMAO! Or a terrible fire could happen and there's nothing left to find! Come on folks, if we really want to get rid of excess traders lets think outside the box!!! (soil stability and sinkholes???)
