Know this is an old topic, but that would be awesome. I love tornadoes, such a powerful force of nature that could add another element to the game. I literally found this by googling "is there tornados in Vintage Story"

I haven't tried it myself but this mod, vsvillage allows you to add your own villages, and its compatible with the vsquest mod which adds quests (linked in the first mod)

Not really necessary but I cannot recommend enough the tentBag mod.It allows you to craft an item, a tent bag, that you can then use to encapsulate a 7x7x7 area, intended to be a sort of tent. Then, you can place that creation anywhere in the world that is flat and without stuff in the way by using the tentbag on the ground. Me and my friends have been using this to explore long distances away from our homestead. You can even put in chests and other storage so you can bring and take stuff back with you. Just be sure to be exactly in the center of your creation otherwise it could cut some bits off.
