  1. I wish for sounds aswell. The mod I have to use adds to immersion and to gameplay aswell. In the wild, I could hear boars, bunnies and other animals close by while my vision is obstructed by vegetation, helps when I could hear a BEAR is charging at me, as a bit of a warning, not just it being in my *ss, roar, then I'm dead. On the surface or in caves, the heavy stomping sounds of bowtorn, the fast light steps of shivers and the drifters dragging themselves toward me. It adds to horror element. Can't tell how many times I got jumped by a shiver, seeing it crawl out of the dark just a second or two after I heard it coming.
  2. Malefactor in my eye is the best for looting ruins. A good set of light or medium armor with a bow as main weapon is a nice combo I think. Shield/Spear (I think spear has a bit more knockback effect) could work too if in a pinch, but if you play alone might not be your best bet to face creatures head-on! Pick your fights, be unfair. If you're playing with a group I would suggest a support role from the back. Or just go looting while the others take care of the danger, maybe be a light source for them
  3. So khm.. Been a while. It's seems fixed for now, might be because of the update to 1.20.9
  4. I encountered almost the same thing. Whenever I cross the threshold of my cellar the ominous cave music/ambience starts, the "sanity" gear moves a bit but nothing happens really.
