I appreciate the new modern/blocky direction. But I think the logo is still too noisy by modern logo design standards. As was mentioned above, both are distant from logos In that sense. However, I think the unique tree shape and angled pipe in particular provide an opportunity to create a simple and recognizable logo that is not overcluttered.
