Yeah, same problem here.

I just started playing and as I experienced my first winter and snowfall, I had to search the guide if there is any recipes for skis. There was none, and as a finn I was little bit bummed out. Wooden skis have been a thing in the stone age. I would really like to see some skis that you can put on the leg slot. They would be faster on snow and slower on anything else. They would slide on snow so you could ski downhill pretty fast. AND you can ski with ski poles uphill without momentum, it's just slower. In my youth I had skis that had ridges on the bottom so they slid forward but there was some grip so I didn't slide backwards. Also jumping with skis on should be really hard. Hope devs think about skis someday! Until then I have to take a good look at the mods...
