"relatively small house" that is larger than any house I have built in this game lol. It is not huge though, I just tend to build small. I think I have built taller towers and wider barns but I have a habit of just not building a proper house anyways looks very nice, big fan of putting round shape in block game, in your case it seems to replace the need for beams bc you've achieved shapes and details with chiseling instead

True. In-game they look more like snowshoes attached to a pair of boots as one item. Unsure if they should keep it that way for simplicity or make snowshoes something you can attach to the shoes you're wearing. I also just realized there is a mod that adds more realistic snowshoes but I think something like it should be vanilla. I like this idea too, better than my hunger rate idea yeah. I want them to feel like actual snowshoes instead of just boots and this would achieve that.

My reasoning is simple: Walking on snow already makes you a bit slower in the vanilla game (unless I'm crazy but pretty sure it does) Snowshoes exist in the game, one of several craftable options to keep your feet warm Snowshoes do not make you walk faster on snow Snowshoes should cancel out the effect of snow on walk speed. Maybe also increase hunger rate just a tad

If they are, it worked on me the first time I played - somehow it did not occur to me that a mushroom called "funeral bell" that also tells you the negative health effect was poisonous. I am generally the kind of person who will read tooltips and the handbook so that felt pretty dumb of me lol. It actually happened twice before I realized. Now I'm doing a playthrough with mods that add a bunch of mushrooms and hide the info on foods until you've tried them a few times so aside from the vanilla ones I already recognize, it is actually a gamble this time. I don't think I would want that feature in vanilla but I do like that there are poisonous mushrooms and the newly added hallucinogens. I think it adds to the idea that it's an "uncompromising" survival game and not everything in your world is friendly. You have to not only forage for food but also learn what's food and what's poison, even if that just means reading the item description.

I've been playing this game for a few years but have only started reading the forums more recently and now I have to limit how many posts I read per day because I want to like the comments and I can only like so many Ironically I found this post because I just discovered there is a limit and I can't react to this post because I have reached said limit lol Also what is the wolfbait reaction supposed to mean when it's not used sarcastically? Is it just like a funny meme reaction? I keep wanting to use it but I don't want people to think I'm being mean. Feels like one of those things you're supposed to just Know but I don't quite get it
