Hello there! I have played every region so far except cold climates, it's a challenge resource wise. Some people also consider winter a tedious thing. To all problems there is a answer, in terms of mods. For example you can have greenhouse heaters with the electricity mods to even grow crops which need high temps. Meaning if progression is made one can achieve quiette a good life in the cold. Building wise I would heavily lean onto Nordic country's, I also suggest for going time period style of building. To put it simple Stone Age / Copper simple Wood structures and once we hit proper metal and steel we can lean more into high medieval time period. Hello there, once more I am envisioning a idea and this time a more reinforced manners ensuring people work together. Server side Rules Everyone has to cooperate and be inside the village. No more going 1k plus blocks away and say "we can trade" that's not the point of you doing your own thing and wasting server resources (ram / slots / progressing day time. Natural ways to enforce cooperation each class has a bonus and a heavy debuff for things they're not meant to do. A simple example farmer would have less ore drop chance by half (have to look into all the class mods and see if I can patch it that way). The opposite for classes regarding crops / animal drops. Deposit % set to 20 and making iron a underground mines only thing. Meaning you and the others have to band up and go into the abandoned mines to find iron. This included with enemy's scaling with distance and depth will make them tougher to kill alone. Perhaps I am not so keen on that idea is having smithing limited to certain people meaning iron tools would be locked and only craft able for sensible classes. (This isn't a yes yet we will talk about it once everyone is banded together) Last point since we are forced to make a village or suffer the consequences (not counting obviously outposts etc). This would making city walls of different materials depending on the age we are in a thing for everyone to participate. We would make a community castle Tower, with teleports archivums and rare schematics. Another thing is we can get traders and npcs and add them to the village. The npcs would offer quests some more worthwhile than others and make the settlement more lively. Warning do not sign up if: Don't stick to community projects and just do your own thing. (Community goals are important to ensure cooperation). Your afraid of a harder experience where cooperation is a must to navigate the world properly. It's suggested to be familiar with VS. Xou don't necessarily need experience with mods Noteworthy mods (will drop mod list sooner or later) Combat Overhaul series (all add ons) Expanded Stomach Art of Growing Biomes Fotsa Creatures Equus Draconis (lategame reward honor rule is not to cheese one of the story locations lol) Tech mods (electric etc) Better ruins heavily tweaked making it less op and more rare. Hello there I am currently planning to do a VintageStory Modded server. The idea is a long term Village so please for the love of god if your known for not sticking to projects don't bother. I know real life comes up but the amount of people who play 2-3 days and "suddenly" realize xyz reoccurs again (School / Work / Vacation) . Still assembling the mod's as some of my favourites like Art of Growing, Aculinary etc are only forked out there. We will use Combat Overhaul + addons and Terra Pretty with Rivers mod for World gen and tweaked Better Ruins to be less op. Of course all the lovely creature / biome mod / vegetation. Otherwise a lot of Salty's immersion mods also in game Voice chat via RPVoice Chat. Hello there we started today on the newest terra pretty mod version a new lovely save! So atm we are 4 People which regularely play perhaps you want join our little town! The current classes we occupy are Farmer / Clockworker / Tailor / Miner! But don't worry having multiple Classes is fine! Your job should represent your Main building priority for example as the Farmer I'd have to worry first about getting proper Farmland ready and some animals. The idea is to have a tribalism Civ where one shares what they have for something in return so no currency system rather more trading goods.
