  1. Reading the start of this felt like getting nerd sniped. While the Horse did win the competition of "Which animal is the best for riding, and pulling carriages?" they did not win immediantly. There are many examples of people riding non-horse animals, including two attempts at Military Moose Cavalry! People in ruraler areas with less access to horses, both from location and a lack of money, used every other hoofed animal of sufficient size. Cows, sheep, donkeys, goats, elk, deer, buffalo, moose, camels, pigs, elephants are all known examples. If it was at hand, large enough, and tame enough, someone used it. If you google 'riding elk' you get a photo from 1910 Montana of a man riding an elk in town.
  2. Both times I've fought the Eidolon, I've ended up setting a respawn point just outside his arena and Leeroy Jenkins' him to death. The fight just doesn't match the combat style of the rest of the game.
  3. It can also process Iron Blooms and Blister steel into their respective ingots. Main use of the thing really. https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Helve_hammer#Usage
  4. While I can confirm they have fixed the issue in the latest stable version [Creativehas longer reach GOD DAMMIT WHY], what the hell are you talking about F4 mode? F4 just hides the UI, it doesn't change anything else, unlike the setting Immersive First Person Mode, which completely changes the first person viewmodel rendering to fit the third person animations (you can see your feet and legs), it also changes where the FP camera sits a little.
  5. It's the immersive first person setting. It moves the camera back slightly when sitting, which means you can't reach the mast properly. Specifically the cleat hitbox becomes unreachable. Pictured below, Immersive First Person mode on, then off.
  6. I've got a notebook with a todo list and notes like; collect resin, which crop got heat damadged in summer, when the fruit trees fruited, and when pregnancies start. Plus a journal of the big events, notably the resonance archives. You can make parchment out of small pelts, after soaking them in lime/borax, scrape them with a knife and then cut them with shears.
