Yes, I use crates and I see the similarity to what I'm suggesting, but crates can store only one type of item, which makes them useful only when storing large quantities of a single material. The drawers that I would like to see in the game would essentially be a reskin of the chests and trunks.

Hello, In survival games similar to Vintage Story, player storage often ends up looking like in the attached picture: Chests stacked on top of each other have always looked a bit odd in my opinion, and in a game like Vintage Story, which is generally realistic, it stands out even more. I think adding large storage drawers could improve the look of player storage. I'm thinking of something similar to the drawers shown in the second picture of some Minecraft mod:
