I play on steam deck. Well technically I stream it on my steam deck. It plays well. If you're used to changing up the control scheme on steam deck, you won't have a problem at all. I use the joystick to play, and the right track pad to move the mouse (left trackpad is scroll). I've always felt like playing mouse and keyboard games on steam deck is a bit of a chore, but if you tinker a bit you can dial it down pretty well. Worst part is controlling the mouse with your thumb, but the game is pretty forgiving for just doing that slowly. I use the paddles for shift, ctrl, alt. That way I can click em when ever I need to. There's a configuration up in the community layouts, I used that as the template and then just edited it whenever I needed to. Since there's so many possible buttons, I've edited some for double clicks and long presses. It's probably not the 100% best way to play, but I like playing on my steam deck. It's probably like 90-95% best. My couch provides the other 5-10% lol. Didn't have to do macros at all.
