Ironically with expensive stuff you actually pay for the engineer to implement a kill switch whereas simple, cheap devices are just that

New players probably have enough on their plates to figure out in single player to really stress about multiplayer. Unless they have friends who pulled them into the game in which case they probably play on private server.
