  1. I'd love to have an option to place a marker on the map when you get killed or at least be able to open the map to place one myself. I know that I can set the game to allow me to keep my inventory, but this would be nice for people who don't want to use that option.

You might be able to throw the crock in water and have the contents float out.  Not sure if that will work for anything other than rot, though.

I tried that with a bowl that was mostly spoiled and it didn't work. So I assume it would be the same fur the crock.

  3. Just curious if there's been any further consideration to the compost bin idea. Mostly I want to use it as a trash can fur flowers and partially spoiled food.

Also, were we able to use a knife to remove spoilage at some point or am I thinking of a mod?

  4. I wish the sounds were broken down into more customizable options, such as hostile mobs and passive mobs. I'd also like there to be a master volume that leaves the individual sliders in place but can affect all volume types as a whole. For example being able to completely mute the game with one slider.

As far as I understand it, rifts will not spawn in well-lit areas. The cutoff is quite sharp; I have a tiny 2-block spot in the middle of my farm that isn't quite reached by the lanterns around it, and it gets rifts pretty consistently. Look around your base at night, and light up any spot that isn't clearly within the bright-light radius of a torch/lamp/lantern.

I just had a rift spawn a couple blocks from my door which has a torch above it

When I started playing the game about a week ago, the drifters crowding around my house at night would quickly disperse and then disappear when the sun came up. Since the 1.16 update they have just continued to loiter and I have to sprint out the door and lure them away to get rid of them. According to the Wiki, they are supposed to flee from the player in sunlight, but I know many parts of the Wiki are out of date. Was this an intentional change in the update, or is this a bug? Would love to have the old functionality back.

I've noticed this as well. They come after me regardless of the light.

  7. Ikd how difficult it would be to do but, I think that fire should belt nearby snow. I have pit kilns with snow piled up on the blocks around them. If I were to stand there, I would take damage. But the snow is untouched. Torches, campfires, ovens... Anything that provides heat should have some effect on the nearby snow.

Someone did question why VS don't had a thirst meter yet and made me wonder why. Sure it made surviving a little more "hard" but it makes things more challenging no?

But if that happens in the future, that also means implementation for stuff that allows to carry water as we do have clay jugs so far.

I'm feeling like it did have that at one point early on? Or am I thinking of Terrafirmacraft? I just remember needing to make clay jugs.

That's way too much, man. Any recipes or functions within the game should go off of Celsius within the code for consistency's sake. Maybe at the very end you add an option that changes the display output from Celsius to Fahrenheit, but coding both temperatures for everything is... not desirable.

Seems to me that it would only take a few lines of code to add a function that lets you choose in the options what scale to use then a simple calculation to display in that scale. I could be wrong, but I know it's hard fur me, being from the us, to conceptualize what say 10 degrees Celsius feels like. I know it's above freezing, and I assume under boiling, but is it? I have no clue unless I google the conversion.

We need rivers and oceans before it should be considered to be honest, and then once that's ton, consider travel. Boats for water travel and some sort of long-legged creature so we can cross all those gosh-darn-it-all hills. 😄

Maybe something less mundane than existing animals? Something that wandered through a rift from rust world?

    Proper Colour Swatch > Dropdown

Dropdown would be tedious just as the current drop down for icons is, imagine having to scroll through 32+ colours.

Icons currently should also be changed to look similarly to the Cave Art where its a big sheet you can see all the options easily from.

I was thinking mare a small dropdown with just the colors that are available to use. It can be just text as well
