Okay, I swear I'm not going crazy, but is anyone else having monsters (drifters mostly) appearing in their base even though every nook and cranny is lit up? I've even got a 5-6 block wall surrounding my entire base, so I've got no clue where they're coming from, as they seem to be in different parts of my base every time. I fear all these lead ingots may be getting to me.

I try to keep it minimum with a couple QOL mods and something basic like Better Ruins. Since it's my first playthrough I don't want to overwhelm myself too much with the modding scene just yet

That's adorable. Alternatively, if you ever want to bore her, you can regale her with your tales of prospecting for ore

I've recently also had stuttering issues, but only after I downloaded the latest nvidia drivers. I'd recommend doing what StCatharines said and roll back your drivers, just to see if it isn't an issue with that

Thankfully bowtorn got their harvesting fixed, that was probably the worst offender with it just not working. Hopefully better firepit just gets implemented as part of the vanilla game, since I don't think it makes much sense for a fire to go DOWN in temperature after finishing cooking something

What do you mean having a by having hard time? Do your eyes hurt afterwards or do you have to strain yourself to look into the distance? Or both?

I think people just regard steel making as very much end-game due to how much effort and time go into it. Refractory bricks aren't cheap either, and in my case I had to travel quite far and spend tons of time just to get bauxite and even begin the process of making them. However, a counter-argument is that steel plate just looks plain badass

Can't help but agree, would absolutely love something that takes into consideration the environmental difficulties of being in a location like a desert or the arctic. Some kind of special sandstorm/snowstorm that blankets the area around the POIs would also be pretty fun to try and navigate, having to leave some form of breadcrumbs so you don't lose your way when you can barely see

Will definitely try this in five in-game years when I have enough refractory bricks for the beehive kiln
