  1. ~ DBD Borax you can find "bits" you can find on the ground. Similar to finding copper bits, brown coal bits, etc. If you find them on the surface, there will be some directly below by digging & then mining within 20 blocks down. Problem is, Borax bits look EXACTLY like quartz bits... so you might have just ran by several already. Have a pickaxe & prospecting pick along so you can do an area search. If it gets down to "trace" amounts, best to move on. Unless you're like me and JUST GOT TO HAVE THOSE LAST 5. Once you become aware of what you're looking for, you see them everywhere. Especially, ESPECIALLY when hunting... or running from a bear. ~ Zane Bee's take a few years to spring up when you 1st start. If you're lucky you might fined 1 but headphones & turned up sound settings help. after about the 4th year, they were EVERYWHERE. I'm getting 3 to 10 combs every time I go out and wander now, (6th year).
  2. So you can make a 7x7x7 but NOT a 7x7x4 because the 7x7x4 is over 150 blocks?
  3. Right before landing, if you hold down crouch, you should bend the knees, tuck & roll to negate damage. Maybe like +3 height damage? Just an idea.
  4. Thanks! I got it installed but it is outdated per the database. The whole crashing cause of lake size... ugh. I built my base in the middle of a lake on an island. I hope its not too bad. I also noticed that I built a bridge over water and the water under it doesn't freeze. I think I'll make the suggestion next. Its great that water under trees stays iced cause that makes sense due to it being in the shade. It just looks so... je ne sais quoi. Basically, i could build a platform over a lake and it would never freeze in winter.
  5. Hmm, yea. I can see that. Temporal storms as a super rift on a global scale. Ok then, to be PERCISE: a Medium rift then on a local scale. That way, you can outrun it. One that would let something half the size of Dave through. And make it a trigger event, say you have to carry 16 or 32 temporal gears around & regular rifts become attracted to you and when you collect enough, (8 rifts?) they combine to make a medium rift. That way, you can set up an area to fight it too but at the same time, it would be WORK to collect the gears, gather the rifts (if any exist at the time) and no frustration from mini-bosses ploping upon you when you're out and about. You could even give the min-bosses levels based upon how deep the setup area is. build it in the sky? dragon type mini-boss. bottom of the world? Worm type mini-boss. It could even be a story event. Find a deep underground ruin where you find the information written on the wall on HOW to trigger the event as a warning NOT to carry too many temporal gear or to even keep them stored in seperate locations as just storing them in chests... cause medium rifts. But hey, people usually hate my ideas in real life, why would the like them in game?
  6. I was noticing that there are times of heavy rifts and got to thinking... what if the rifts became cataclysmic and combined? Into 1 big rift that, during the day, you could see through to the world of Rust. But at night... LARGE dangerous creatures could come through that normally couldn't? Boss fights for large groups. Impossible to solo. Just a thought.
  7. Lakes freeze over, I get that. Problem is, in the middle of summer, I'll travel a few hundred blocks away to explore a spot I've been to in winter and there's still a frozen lake. Or chunk of ice. Maybe a simple chunk update to turn ice back into water the moment it is loaded after a time of the year check?
  8. Um, my 2 cents is that bears are perfect. In real life, you see a bear, you run, pray, pee, poop all at the SAME TIME. You see someone hunting bear with a sword or spear, you call the funny farm and tell them one of their guys got loose, to bring the leather jacket then place him back in the asylum. I catch bears, regularly with bear pits & traps in VS. No way in VS am I ever gonna try and duel 1, that's crazy talk. I am a bit disappointed that I can outrun a bear but that bear meat is tasty! To me, bears are very realistic. Ive seen them swipe at rabbits, chickens, deer and gobble them up in VS. If there were tigers, Id do the same but I'd expect tigers to be smarter and avoid pit traps and hide in trees. If there were lions... Id move to the cold cold north for safety. But hey, if they make them dual able... im gonna be disappointed.
