  1. I agree with you. In the Old Times boss battles were the skill check to ensure you perfected the new gameplay elements introduced in the level. This is a different kind of game though and while it isn't "fun" or "good design", I suppose it should be expected in Vintage Story.
  2. Vintage Story players are allergic to criticism of their lil game and for some reason take it personally I guess. Tyron doesn't really help with this attitude tbh
  3. At which quality do clothes begin showing up invisible? How do I increase my character's Wisdom?
  4. Not being facetious, what does this even mean? I know the allegory for self-important liars but what does this actually mean?
  5. The average mushroom is like 35 calories and 36 if you count the bugs inside. Used more for taste and entheogenic purposes in real life!
  6. Breasts are secondary reproductive organs and not considered genitalia. Unless you know something I don't? (Penises?)
  7. Small windmill energy
  8. With breasts on the radar, when can we expect penises?
  9. Yes, extremely misleading. Could not get the game to work on my linux machine for the same .NET compatibility reasons, and barely works on my Win11 WoA device. Why even bother migrating to .NET 8 if they plan to upgrade soon enough anyway? Sorry about your bad experience, I sincerely hope they grant you a refund should you wish. The way you frame it, I'm sure your bank would agree that you were misled in your purchase.
  10. Please find me a software engineer writing 10k lines a day lmao. That's so stupid for so many reasons
  11. I agree but layperson management where I am right now disagrees. Either way I'm not sure why folks are trying to discredit my opinion with the ever-moving goalpost. Is that easier than accepting criticism about Tyron's presentation?
  12. Again, my critique isn’t about the mistake itself. Thanks.
  13. Which is why I remarked about the self-assured attitude of the lead developer/CEO/community manager/code reviewer in spite of these silly errors.
  14. Kind of a snoozefest considering the timeframe. Lol'd at the fix for crashing on right clicking empty pot with empty bowl. Don't want to sound like I'm some expert but it's funny to see what sounds like null reference errors when Tyron presents so pompously.
  15. Please stop the semantics. No response necessary, thanks.
  16. Perhaps there is confusion because the post in question was deleted. That would probably explain my call for clarification. I don't understand your confusion.
  17. What was said? From this perspective it looks like a user was banned for their opinion of your actions?
  18. This is what some of us are talking about. Tyron, you wear too many hats. Bugfixes do not need your oversight. Code review is standard practice but this also does not have to be your job. Telling us you have resources at the wazoo and a team over a dozen strong but where are you demonstrating your trust in your team? CEO\Lead Programmer\Writer\Community Manager. You've given yourself a tough job and I think it's making the job of your team harder.
  19. Don't forget that it will become a paid mod if it gets popular.
  20. How badly do you need to feel your 20 bucks was worth it?
  21. Awesome, I love this idea. Let's get everybody we know onto this! I want to buy two mismanaged games; one of which is essentially a paid mod of the other!
  22. Imagine if Stationeers added a story mode, drastically changing the scope of the game. Not a good comparison either way because Dean Rocket Hall's company publishes on Steam where players can rate and review games. They also have a physical studio which absolutely helps with team cohesion and role clarity. Part of me wonders if Vintage Story prefers its echo chamber rather than accepting valid criticism. Why are forum-goers so quick to dismiss critique rather than take it into consideration?
  23. Echoing some other sentiments, do not like this. Feature creep and update crawl. Also don't like the verbiage about whether or not it is a separate project. "If it's good we'll sell it again to the players who funded it and if it's bad we'll leave it as a separate game mode." How firm are you in the direction of the project if you're unsure of this?
