  1. Rather than an IT degree, you’d probably need a geology degree, since the world is generated using real-world examples (https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Rock). Your best chance is to see if you can find the seed for your world somewhere in the game folder: C:\Users\{your computer name}\AppData\Roaming\VintagestoryData If it’s not there, then you’ve got a couple of options: Go into chat and write /gamemode 2. This sets you to creative and lets you spawn in the stones you lost (use /gamemode 1 to go back to survival). Download a mod like https://mods.vintagestory.at/xray. I use it when creating a new world to find a good place for a base. You can search for specific things and it’ll highlight them if they’re nearby. Give up on your dreams of endless granite and live with the rest of us peasants down in the dirt Just a small heads-up since you seem new: granite is pretty limited in what you can use it for. It’s a hard rock, so it’s good for knapping and some recipes, but the rocks you’ll really need later are limestone, marble, and other porous types, since you grind them down for a lot of stuff.
  2. Okay. Thank you all for giving your input I think I'll wait then.
  3. Hello there, I've been holding off getting back into Vintage Story for the last few weeks, but I've got some ideas I want to try ingame. However, I do not want to start a new game if the new release is close to getting released (Like within the next 1-2 months), since I'll likely have to start a new world anyway when it comes out. So, my question is; People who are playing the unstable release, how stable is it actually? Are there any bugs that can brick the save? I dont really mind crashes etc. But it would really suck to have my save bricked
  4. I'd like to know this as well. In real life we can repopulate rivers/lakes/ponds etc. would be nice if we can repopulate fishing areas.
