The first year on the server has come and gone and the second follows suit what feels rapidly, despite our 30 day months. The server has so far had many highlights including festivals and townfaires, expeditions to the arctic, groups rising to prominence and others falling, and much is not set in stone at this time. We have a plethora of large and active towns readily taking in all new folks, and an easy way to form more if you join and request! Welcome to Otter Creek Civilizations, a server with a heavily curated mod list centered around immersion, progression, and warfare. Our primary goal is to establish multiple civilizations and having complicated interactions between them. We maintain a hands-off approach for how leaders of groups approach the world around them, and warfare is allowed, with admin supervision to prevent abuse. The mod list is actively being updated as the mods we have our eyes on update, and will have multiple expansions in the coming days. The server is a fresh wipe today as of 4/24, and we have several groups prepared and ready to join! You can also join and create your own groups, anything from humble homesteads, thriving town centers, dwarven kingdoms and pirates, strange religious orders and knightly men, and more! One can be whatever they wish here, fulfill any role they seek, and step into the world of Otter Creek, a land with unlimited potential. We are using Aldi's Classes combined with Racial Equality allowing a diverse set of playstyles, towns, and possibilities for both RP and Civilization Gameplay. We keep rules tight to help avoid annoyances from things like thieving or bugs, while maintaining a hands-off approach for how players will ultimately interact between civilizations - be it they declare war or peace, trade agreements and the like. Ultimately that's between groups and they inform us to avoid abuse. Beyond that we're in need of more groups, to help get the ball rolling on this freshly-created server.
