I've got about 700 hours across multiple saves. Haven't done the story beyond the RA. I may wait until the story is complete to go any further. One thing that hinders me is that I have a world that I made in 1.17 that I spend most of my VS time in, and I don't want to "mess it up" to add the story content. I love my base I've built so far and there's always something to do related to building it out further. Another is that I'm content to wait until the story is done, I don't particularly have itchy feet to learn more.

The first time I encountered a drifter I had NO IDEA what the heck it was. I knew there were Eldritch monsters in the game but wasn't expecting *that*. I managed to kill it but then didn't know what to do with it, so I boxed it in with dirt in case it could rise from the dead. I left it there for about 10 minutes. Even though I'm familiar with despawn rules from TOBG, I was still shocked it was gone when I cautiously (spear at the ready) checked on it
